Unfortunately, many of the online review sites like Yelp, Insider Pages and Merchant Circle do a very poor job of authenticating the sources of these reviews. We monitor these reviews closely and it is apparent to us that many of these reviews are not authentic. Richards' Motorcars has partnered with Dealerrater.com and their Certified Dealer Program because we feel that Dealerrater provides both the consumer and the dealer with an honest forum for customers to post positive and negative reviews of their experiences with our dealership. Dealerrater uses advanced technology to track the IP address of every review that is posted on their site. Dealerrater also requires it's users to verify who they are before posting any reviews. This offers a level of security and authenticity that is not found on other review sites. The car business is very competitve and it is frustrating that others would go out of their way to post fraudulent, negative reviews about their competitors but it is an unfortunate reality of our business. We have attempted to work with the other online review sites but we have made the determination that Dealerrater.com is the only review site that protects the authenticity of the reviews posted on their site.
